ブリジット先生のコラム英語原文

ブリジット先生のコラムの英語の原文です。

Growing up, I loved to play with my brothers and sisters. There are five of us, so things could get loud pretty quickly. My parents were always telling us to quiet down.
“Use your inside voices,” they would say, “or go outside.”

We had a huge backyard, so we could run around and be as loud as we wanted without bothering the neighbors…much. I ended up outside almost every day after school, and I loved being out in the sunshine or the snow, imagining and exploring.

In the Fall, one of my favorite things to do outside was picking apples. New York State is famous for apples, and there were quite a few orchards near my house. McPherson’s Orchard is the one my family went to most often. There was a barn full of different kinds of apples, apple butter, and apple cider.

Apple cider is a kind of unfiltered, unprocessed apple juice. Across the street there were rows and rows of apple trees where we picked our own apples. The trees were tall, but I loved climbing up the step ladders to get what I thought were the best apples at the top.

I haven’t been home in the Fall for quite a few years. Next time I’m back, I’ll have to go back to McPherson’s and get some delicious apples and cider. And as long as I’m in the barn, I’ll remember to use my inside voice.
